– a peaceful manor house in the middle of the Zealand countryside, Store Fuglede Sogn in Kalundborg Municipality, where historical charm meets modern comfort. The estate can accommodate up to 12 people in 7 individually decorated rooms, with 3 bathrooms and an extra guest toilet – ideal for families, friends or several generations who want a stay with space and peace.
The property (originally called Flinterupgård) was established in 1790 out of four farms that belonged to the estate under the Stamhuset Lerchenborg. The main building was built or significantly renovated or rebuilt in 2003 - it appears modern but with a manor house style, including a tower facing the courtyard. Until recently, larger areas have been run as organic crop production, and the land belongs to the property.
The main building is characterized by warmth and soul: the owner family often uses the house themselves, which gives it a unique homely atmosphere — not just a rental place, but a place with history and heart. The interior reflects this: classic details, comfortable furniture, spacious living rooms, and not least a home that has been used and appreciated.
Outside, nature experiences and tranquility await. Imagine being able to have your morning coffee on the terrace with a view of an older landscaped park – characterized by beautiful trees, well-established avenues and a rich birdlife with several rare species. Here you have the opportunity to take a deep breath, let cozy moments (and possibly the fireplace) take over and let the silence of the landscape take effect. For those who enjoy life and nature lovers, the proximity to nature is an extra dimension.
There is only about 5 km from the house to a beautiful sandy beach for you to enjoy fresh air and salt in your hair – a perfect excursion destination for both play, relaxation and spectacular sunsets. After the beach trip you can return to the quiet surroundings of the estate and find peace in the living room or at the dinner table in the spacious kitchen-dining room.
In other words, Store Flinterup Gods is not just a place to stay overnight – it is a home for many days: with room for conversations, coziness, nature experiences and stylish surroundings. And with the personality and atmosphere that only a used and loved manor house can provide.
