The artist's residence at Fjellebro Gods has so far been used by Count Michael-Laurvig, as private studio. Therefore, there is a part of the Count's art as decoration on the walls. The Count’s Atelier at Fjellebro Gods, now belongs to Egeskov Castle.

The property has been renovated in 2018 and contains 4 bedrooms each with 2 beds, two single bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a small dining area. In addition there is a dining room, a large entrance hall, a TV lounge and a living room with wood burning stove and access to the terrace and garden. There is also a bathroom with washing machine and bathtub.

Free entrance to Egeskov Castle

As a tenant of this house, you have free entrance to Egeskov castle during the stay. The offer is only current in the opening period of Egeskov Castle. Egeskov Castle is one of the biggest attractions on the island of Funen where the beautiful main building, classic car museum, the Museum of Agriculture, the large park with the largest hedge maze in the world, the 3 gardens, rose garden, herb garden and the flower garden, "tree top walking" through 15 meters above the surface and the large playground can be visited. The castle is beautifully situated in the countryside not far from Svendborg and Faaborg.

 

The area

The idyllic harbour town Fåborg is not far away from the area with nice shops, cultural sights, restaurants and an indoor swimming-pool. South Funen is known for its very special and hilly nature with Svanninge Bakker, the so-called Funish Alps, and the beautiful and unique archipelago. Take a day trip to the islands of Lyø, Avernakø or Ærø. The ferry leaves daily from the harbor in Faaborg. Egeskov Castle, which is one of Funen´s largest attractions, is also worth a visit as well as Odense, Funen´s largest town, with many sights and attractions.
