You will find Egeskov Castle in the small town of Kvaerndrup, close to Ringe on central Funen. Egeskov Castle was built by Frands Brockenhuus way back in the year 1554. Today Egeskov Castle is owned by the famous Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig Bille.

Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig Bille took over Egeskov Castle in 1994 and since then has made Egeskov Castle one of the most visited tourist attractions on Funen with close to 200,000 visitors a year.

Egeskov Castle has it all

Over the years, Egeskov Castle has built a wide range of exciting attractions around the castle. In a part of the more than 130 years old birch forest, you can wander in the tree tops, 10-15 metres above ground, along the popular Tree Top Walking attraction. If you sense the fear of heights playing tricks on you, you can instead visit the beautiful Piet Hein-designed labyrinth or the small mazes located around Egeskov Castle.
